The
best selling games and video games report released this year by NPD Group. It
is obvious that we all know Call of Duty: WWII was the best selling games this
year.
Apart
from that NBA 2K18, Destiny 2, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and
Madden NFL 18 were in top 5 best selling games (in which Destiny 2 without
including PC sale) of 2017.
Only
in December 2018, Call of Duty: WWII won best selling title of the month in
compete with Star Wars: Battlefront II, Super Mario Odyssey Mario Kart 8 and
NBA 2K18.
I
must agreed to that PUBG also was in trend at number 7 this December but
rapidly increasing selling number of Call of Duty: WWII made it on number 1 in December.
There
were total selling of hardware and game’s accessories reached $14.6 billion in
which there were 10 percent selling done in December with $3.3 billion.
If
we talk about the game sales, there was $6.7 billion sold in games in which
$1.3 billion sold in December. There is increase in 271 packaged to 314
packaged from 2017 to 2017 which is 16 percent.
The
car racing games genre this time had greatest growth all over 2017 which was
jump by 68 percent from previous year of 2016. It is obvious that shooting games genre is in top games like COD and PUBG.
In
terms of Hardware, Play-Station 4 sold most in year of 2017 but in December
Nintendo sold the most units. In December it sold $1.3 billion. There was impressive
jump with 28 percent which is $4.7 billion last year.
Xbox
one and PS4 combined sales is clearly notable said by NPD Group. PS4 and Xbox
One combined sales of first 50 months increased by 18 percent from Play-Station
3 and Xbox 360.
Nintendo
Switch sold more consoles in US over it first 10 month which was announced by
Nintendo. Even 3DS reaching the highest this December from December, 2014.
I
must say that Sony’s black DualShock 4 controller was the top-selling accessory
last year. In 2017, the flat sale was $735 million which is same as last year
but for full year it increased with 2 percent to $3.2 billion.
